The next step.

You are welcome to call, text, or email with a brief inquiry. The most direct way to begin is the pre-screening questionnaire. It gives me enough information to consider whether it would be appropriate for me to ask for a fuller history, and for us to potentially establish a treatment relationship.

How the process works.

Questions before you begin?

You are welcome to call, text, or email with a brief inquiry. The most direct way to begin is the pre-screening questionnaire. It gives me enough information to consider whether it would be appropriate for me to ask for a fuller history, and for us to potentially establish a treatment relationship.

What happens after the pre-screening questionnaire?

I review each completed pre-screening questionnaire within 3 business days. If Logos Psychiatry may be an appropriate fit, I will invite you to read our policies and procedures document and complete a more comprehensive intake form. That intake form asks for more sensitive history and will serve as the basis for your patient chart if we proceed. If Logos is clearly not the right setting, I will instead direct you to resources intended to help you identify a useful next step.

What happens after the comprehensive intake?

I review the completed intake within 3 business days. If the practice appears to be able to meet your needs, I will invite you to schedule an initial assessment. If not, I will send a concise care-seeking guide shaped by the broad needs reflected in your intake—for example, how to search your insurance network for a provider or what type of clinician or program it may be useful to look for. This is a practical orientation rather than a formal referral, individualized consultation, or treatment advice.

Why is the process structured in stages?

The process is designed to handle your sensitive information with care, respect, and gratitude. To that end, whatever comes of your inquiry and our exploration of it, I want to be as helpful to you as I can be. Even if we do not end up personally working together, I hope to offer you some guidance for your troubles / efforts.

Why might we not end up personally working together?

Unfortunately, there are two main reasons why we may not end up personally working together.

The first is the structure of the practice, which is a matter of choice and design. I am a solo doctor running a lean but complete psychiatry practice. Without a larger structure around me, I cannot safely or responsibly take on the care of many persons with substantial and important care needs.

The other main reason is my payment policy and price schedule. I do ask for “cash payment” (by credit or debit card) at the time you schedule your appointment. I have put a lot of thought into what prices I charge for my services so that I can feel both comfortable and eager to provide good patient care. My hope is that we can both come to feel that:

  1. The services I provide offer you real value;
  2. Our agreed-upon payment schedule is both adequate and appropriate;
  3. Our arrangement is mutually beneficial.

I will never fault you, however, if you do not find yourself feeling that way.
